Beaver (5-8 Joer)

WEE SI MIR?

Kanner vu 5-8 Joer: Kommt an entdeckt mat eis zesummen d’Welt vun de Scouten!

Mat de Beaver geet d’Scoutsliewen un: mir léiere fein a respektvoll mat eis selwer a mat Aneren ëmzegoen, mir erliewen d’Natur aktiv a bei all Wieder, mir amuséieren eis a groussen an a klenge Gruppen a mir drécken eis net virun der Aarbecht wann se mol ufällt. Wéi d’Beaver liewe mir a klenge ‚Famillen‘—eisen Dämm—sou datt mir eis géigesäiteg ënnerstëtze kënnen, deenen Hëllef ubidden déi se brauchen, a vun aal a jonk kënne léieren. Eis Devise ass DEELEN—DEELEN—DEELEN, wat net ëmmer einfach ass, mee mir kënnen dat scho ganz gutt.

Bei de Beaver gëtt d‘Scoutsphilosophie dëm Alter ugepasst: mir loossen eiser kierperlecher Energie an eiser Kreativitéit fräie Laf, léieren éischt Scoutstechnike kennen, schlofen am Schlofsak, maache Feier, a probéieren esou gutt ewéi mir et kënnen selwer eens ze ginn: ob dat beim Kachen, Undin, Kieren, oder der Orientéierung am Bësch ass.

De Moment ass eis Colonie mat 30 Kanner voll besat, mee mir hunn eng Waardelëscht op deeër sech intresséiert Kanner kënnen aschreiwen.

Beaver (Age 5-8)

WHO ARE WE?

Children aged 5-8: come and discover the world of scouting with us! We invite you to try out new things, to explore nature, potter about, collect stones and other bits and pieces, run about, chat, play, cook, listen to and tell exciting stories, go on nice excursions, and much, much more.

With the Beavers, scouting life begins: we learn to treat ourselves and others in a nice and respectful way, we engage with nature actively and in all weathers, we have fun in large and small groups, and we do not shy away from work when it needs to be done. Like the beavers, we live together in small ‘families’—our dams or lodges—so that we can support each other, offer help to those who might need it, and learn from those older and younger than ourselves. Our motto is to SHARE—SHARE—SHARE, which is not always easy, but we are getting very good at it.

The Beavers are introduced to the philosophy of scouting in an age-appropriate setting. We let our energy and creativity run free, learn about basic scouting techniques, sleep in sleeping bags, and make fires. We try to be as independent and self-sufficient as we can be at our age, be this when we cook, get dressed, tidy up, or find our way through the forest.

At the moment our colony is full (30 children), but we have a waiting list for those who are interested in joining.
